A not-for-profit,
built on trust
Toybox is a not-for-profit organisation. Every dollar we receive goes back into the centre — into experienced, well-supported educators, into ongoing staff training, and into the resources and environments your child learns and plays in every day.
For over 35 years, Toybox has provided high-quality care for the families of the Lower Eyre Peninsula. We’ve grown and changed with our community, but one thing has stayed constant: our commitment to the children and families who walk through our doors.
What makes us different?
Our mission is to provide a child safe environment where safeguarding children practices are our paramount consideration. We aim to provide; a high-quality standard of essential, respectful care by acknowledging and understanding the holistic nature of children’s learning while incorporating play-based experiences and intentional teaching.
our mission
Working towards the highest standards
We are committed to delivering the best possible outcomes for your child, and are currently undertaking a Quality Uplift Program as part of our ongoing commitment to the National Quality Standards.
Sustainable, and locally minded
We believe in sustainable, environmentally responsible practices, and we think local wherever we can — supporting Port Lincoln businesses and embedding our local community into the everyday life of the centre.
nourished, every day
Our on-site chef prepares morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea daily, with nutritious, well-balanced menus. We’re allergy aware and happy to cater to individual dietary requirements, so you can be confident your child is well fed and cared for.
Led by families,
for families
Governed by a committee of families who use the centre, alongside a community representative meeting monthly to guide the direction of Toybox. Our Director manages the day-to-day running of the centre, ensuring the Committee’s vision translates into the care your child receives every day.
