your first day guide

Our centre aims to promote good nutrition and healthy food habits and attitudes to all children and families. All meals are prepared by our centre cook, menus prepared seasonally and on a four-week rotation basis, meeting Australian Dietary Guidelines. The centre provides morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea and a late snack for all children.

Nourished, every day

At Toybox, the safety of every child is our highest priority. We are an allergy aware centre with a firm, written anaphylaxis management policy in place, because awareness, preparation and clear communication save lives. For every child with a known allergy or anaphylaxis risk, we work closely with families to develop an individualised care plan, tailored to their child. Trained staff are on site at all times, and adrenaline devices such as EpiPen® and Anapen® are kept in an accessible place and within their use-by date. If your child has a known allergy, we'd love to talk it through with you before they start.

Please review our Allergy and Anaphylaxis policy below.

Childcare subsidy calculator

The Child Care Subsidy (CCS) is a payment offered by the Australian Government for which you may be eligible. The CCS is means tested based on the combined family income, the fortnightly activity of families – such as work, study or volunteering – and the type of service a child attends.

To find out if you are eligible for CCS, visit the
Services Australia website. Depending on your personal circumstances, there may also be other government funding available.

Once you are registered for CCS you will be given a CRN number and your child's centre requires this number to link your Toybox invoices to Centrelink. Your centre will not be able to answer any questions about your payments, as this information is your private information and we do not have access to it.
